Following up on our post about the photography collaboration of two of our ARTeacher Fellows at Fayetteville High School, here’s Stephanie Flinn’s students and the work they created (in conjunction with Anna Beaulieu’s class)! Ms. Flinn and Ms. Beaulieu joined AP French with level 3 ESL students for a “Humans of FHS” arts-integrated project using portrait photography and interview writing. Exploring themes of Immigration and the American Dream, the students found common ground to discuss what it is like to be an immigrant and what it means to achieve the American Dream. Said Ms. Flinn, “The kids were so proud of their hard work and really saw the value when the ‘gallery’ was ready.” Arts integration thrives with collaboration, and we love to see this pair of creative educators working together.
