Hannah Mhoon, a social studies teacher at Springdale High School and alumna of the ARTeacher Fellowship, recently received the Ozark Guidance 2020-2021 Mental Health Champion Award. Hannah was nominated by her colleagues based on her dedication to the mental wellbeing of her students. She was praised for her lessons on stress management; her classroom design, which includes alternative lightning and blankets; and her creation of a yoga club to foster meditation and mindfulness amongst her students. Hannah embodies the values of the ARTeacher Fellowship through her creative and care-centered approach to instruction.
