This past July, ARTeacher Fellows were introduced to the “Acting Right” theatre-based teaching strategies by guest facilitator Jamin Carter from the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Focus 5! The “Acting Right” series uses drama and performance activities to cultivate concentration, cooperation, and imagination in students across subject areas. Fellows learned to apply the strategies to each of their secondary level content areas: English, Science, Social Studies, Math, and World Languages.
