That’s the motto of the Experiential Theater Company, founded by Christopher Parks. In November, Parks visited the ARTeacher Fellowship to share his unique approach to creating immersive and participatory drama. Audience members don’t just watch the performance; they become part of it with lines, actions, and improvisation.

The ARTeacher Fellows explored ways to apply Parks’s Experiential Theater approach to the classroom, drawing on students to engage creatively with curricular texts and topics as actors and scriptwriters. The audience becomes the ensemble, and no two performances are the same!
