The ARTeacher Fellowship is in full swing! This summer, we welcomed eleven new Fellows who joined our returning second and third-year Fellows for the ARTeacher Summer Institute. The four-day institute, held at the Walton Arts Center and Crystal Bridges Museum, was led by guest facilitator Daniel Barash, teaching artist with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The Fellows gained a foundational understanding of arts integration in the secondary classroom as applied through the art of shadow theatre.

The Summer Institute kicks off a yearlong sequence of learning in both the theory and practice of arts integration to deep and enrich curricular learning. We can’t wait to share what our Fellows accomplish!
