What a day! Our Fellows (who are secondary English, social studies, science, and foreign language teachers) invited art teachers from their school to gain a shared understanding of what is arts integration and to foster future collaborations.
In the morning, ARTeacher alum Kelly Buckley (Fayetteville HS) shared her arts integration project, which uses green screen photography to allow students to engage critically and empathetically with historical images and issues.
In the afternoon, professor of art education Injeong Yoon (U. of Arkansas) shared ideas and best practices for art teachers working with subject area teachers.
