Nicole Paquet Smith, a teacher at Bentonville High School, was recently awarded the University of Arkansas Mentor Teacher of the Year. She was honored with a banner presentation with BHS Principal Jack Lloyd. Paquet Smith is a mentor teacher to Laura Hurst, a pre-service teacher at the University’s College of Education and Health Professions. Nicole and Laura’s presentation, “Digital Storytelling Via Transmediation,” was well received at the 2021 Virtual ARTful Teaching Conference, hosted by the Center for Children & Youth. The ARTful Teaching Conference is fortunate to have a distinguished group of presenters.
